VITAE ESSENTIA
The Essence of Life
Vitae Essentia was formed in 2015. It is a holistic health company focussing on a seed to remedy approach. An integrative perspective is used as the lead clinician is trained as a Naturopath, Registered Nurse (Mental Health) and has qualification in Reiki, Massage and specialised for several decades in talking therapy. An evidence based approach is used in treatment. The environment approach is taken not only from studies in environmental science but the hands on approach to the land the business is based upon. A spiritual aspect is embraced and incorporated on many levels, one of the practitioners, Nick Horton is doctor of Metaphysics and there is a deep respect for spirituality in all its manifestations. About Us
Karen Pearson (Lead Clinician)
Karen began her relationship with her husband Nick during her awakening, Nick helping to guide her through her experience. During this time they moved to New Zealand and started a family, it was after the birth of their first child that Karen experienced post natal depression. Not trusting the adverse effects of using a medication on herself or her newborn child forced Karen to reflect on her trust in the true healing nature of nursing. This forced Karen to embrace what once was a hobby and turn it into a profession, and so the natural health training began.
On completion of the training there was the realisation that encompassing the mental, physical and spiritual elements of health, in a sustainable and natural way, held great power for healing, leading to a true and positive shift in people’s health. Karen is dedicated to expanding her wisdom and sharing this with those who wish to embrace true healing.
Working with people in poverty from an integrative perspective has led to the development of the land on which Vitae Essentia is based. Part of the healing journey is teaching people how to reconnect with nature. Even those on a limited budget can empower themselves by growing their own food and herbs. The development of a food forest and herbal nursery is underway as a mechanism of providing seeds, plants, remedies and a teaching environment for those who wish to connect.
At the same time there is the drive to teach staff within the clinical setting the importance and evidence based practice to support the healing process. Moving to a goal of opening up a more integrative approach to healing for the population as a whole.
